Prima Donna is the first heifer calf born on Crooked Tree Ranch. She was born via unassisted birth on May 6, 2017 and is the daughter of the ranch’s first calf, Crooked Tree Premiere, and Oak Run Southern Belle.
Prima has been an incredibly independent calf since she was first born, often wandering off on her own away from the rest of the herd. She began to wean herself quite early and is always full of energy. She can often be found keeping company with Lady in Lace or our other heifer calf, Panache. She is bold and loves to have her head petted, though she still isn’t one hundred percent sure she wishes to be handled.
Prima Donna promises to become a well-built heifer. She comes from good breeding stock and appears to be demonstrating the solid confirmation and stocky head of her father. We are hoping to see a calf out of Prima Donna by the spring of 2020.
